| This week we focus on the study of Titus chapter one. The purpose of this letter was to advise Titus in his responsibility of supervising the churches on the island of Crete. I will be sharing with you some selected notes from the Life Application Study Bible (NLT). Enjoy SCRIPTURE TEXT: “Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.”–Titus 1 : 16 (NLT) Many people claim to know God. How can we know If they really do? We will not know for certain in this life, but a glance at their lifestyles will quickly tell us what they value and whether they have ordered their lives around Kingdom priorities. Our conduct speaks volumes about what we believe- “If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” (1 John 2: 4-6) What do people know about God and about your faith by watching your life? |
