Ministry Beyond The Storm!

SCRIPTURE: “They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet Him.” (Mark 5:2 NIV)

Jesus knew what was on the other side of the storm. He knew that an entire town would “see no beauty in Him that they should desire Him” (Mark 5:17) Still His compassion was moved even toward those that rejected Him, and the disciples must understand this example. If we refuse to learn our lesson in the storms, then we will never have a ministry beyond the storm. It is important that the disciples see the Lord’s compassion and power in salvation, even for those who are bound  by Satan. The day will come when they will face the same devil, not in the cemetery and tombs, but in the temple and places of worship. If Jesus did not send the early church through a storm to shatter their plans to preach the gospel to the Jews only, then the rest of the world would have never known the grace of God in Jesus Christ.
