| This week we focus on the study of Ephesians chapter five. This letter refers to the Church as a body to illustrate unity of purpose and show how each individual member is a part that must work together with all the other parts. I will be sharing with you some selected notes from the Life Application Study Bible (NLT). Enjoy! SCRIPTURE TEXT: “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are His dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered Himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.”–Ephesians 5:1-2(NLT) Just as children imitate their parents, we should follow God’s example. His great love for us led Him to sacrifice Himself so that we might live. Our love for others should be of the same kind—a love that goes beyond affection to self-sacrificing service. |
