2 CORINTHIANS 4:14 -18
SCRIPTURE TEXT: “For our light affliction, which is but a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” – 2 Corinthians 4:17
The dominant trait of a true saint is a personal, passionate, and overwhelming devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ. Experiences of inward ecstasy are secondary. A saint wants to know Him.
In spite of disastrous circumstances, a saint yearns to know more of the providence of God. The apostle Paul was imprisoned, shipwrecked, starved, and stoned, yet we hear him speaking about “our light affliction, which is but for moment…….” (2 Corinthians 4: 17). He unhesitantly says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation. or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us form the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8: 35, 38-39)
It is not reward that a saint looks for ; it is to hear our Lord say, “Well done, good and faithful servant”
Prayer Thought: “Father, with Your help, I will be faithful to You” Amen.
STAY BLESSED
