Contentment Avoids Complaining

Beloved in the Lord,
Our message titled, Characteristics Of Contentment, is going to cover the entire week.
Today, our focus is on Contentment Avoids Complaining.

May the Holy Spirit minister deeply into our hearts, the message He has for us today.

SCRIPTURE: “ You brood  of  vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matthew 12:34 NIV)

Jesus reminds us that what we say reveals what is in our heart. What kind of words come out of your mouth? That is an indication of what is in your heart. You can’t solve your problem, however, just by cleaning up your speech. You must allow the Holy Spirit to fill you with new attitudes and motives; then your speech will be cleansed at its source.

Grumbling and complaining does not make us grow as Christians. We must  have a  heart of gratitude for what the Lord has helped us to achieved, instead of we thinking life is a race where one must be the best at everything, and the moment we achieve one thing, the race for the next thing starts.

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires” – Hebrews 4: 12 (NLT)
